How to care for your wooden furniture?
• Your furniture will benefit from a limited amount of maintenance to keep it in prime condition. If it is not done, the wood may become dry and lose its deep colour. • Wood changes shape due to variations in humidity and temperature. These cause the wood to swell or shrink, and therefore some unevenness and small cracks may occur • Knots are completely natural and are not considered to be a defect - Sapwood in oak (light streaks or areas which are the part of the tree which transports nutrients) is also completely natural and is not considered to be a defect • Regardless if the wooden furniture is oiled, soap treated or lacquered, it can become scratched if treated carelessly and caution must be taken regarding grime, grease and liquids. The advantage of oiled or soap-treaded wooden furniture is that it can quite easily be restored to its original condition • Use only special furniture oil for oak • Solid wood products delivered without treatment are very sensitive to the changes of relative humidity. Transported and warehoused products may have variations of board pieces up to ±1-6mm • Avoid exposing the wooden furniture to excessive heat (for example a radiator) or direct sunlight as this can cause cracking and deterioration of the colour • Wooden furniture must always be protected from warm objects, strong cleaning agents and water. Strongly coloured liquids such as coffee, tea or red wine should be wiped up immediately • Any spills should be wiped up immediately with a damp cloth. Never put hot dishes directly onto wooden surfaces • We recommend you use felt backed table mats - Wooden furniture should be used indoors, unless the furniture is specifically intended by the manufacturer for outdoor use. • Take care when moving furniture and never drag the pieces across the floor as this will cause damage to the joints. |

How to care for your Sofas?
• Please do not sit on arms – they are NOT designed for this and will break! Avoid sharp objects • When moving sofas, avoid pushing with your knees, this will damage side panels and stretch the leather/fabric and invalidate the guarantee. • Leather / Faux leather products should be kept at least 30cms/1 foot away from heat sources (eg. radiators) to prevent cracking/peeling • Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, fading will occur • Vacuum clean or brush upholstery weekly, accumulated dirt will accelerate wear and dull colours. Avoid exposing furniture to direct prolonged sunlight as fading may result. • Rotate and ‘plump up’ scatter cushions regularly to prevent uneven wear and excessive soiling. • Microfibre: this is a tactile, durable fabric. Most stains, - biro, butter, machine oil, can be removed by carefully dabbing with a clean damp cloth. Stubborn stains can be removed using small amounts of soap and water. • Absorb spillages immediately with a clean dry cloth. Leather is a natural product, it is normal for there to be variations in its colour and texture. For routine cleaning wipe over with a cloth soaked in warm water. Leather conditioners can be purchased from DIY stores for use once or twice a year. • Do not use detergents or chemical cleaners

All of our products are made from the finest materials to exacting standards of workmanship. However like most new products, useful life span depends on the amount of tender loving care the bed receives throughout its life. Listed below are a few pointers to ensure that you enjoy many years of good nights.
• Do NOT bend or roll your new mattress. This will cause permanent damage to the spring unit and invalidate the guarantee. • Let your new mattress breathe. We suggest after the removal of the packaging, you leave your new bed uncovered for a couple of hours to allow any condensation to escape. WARNING: Keep all polythene packaging well out of reach of small children. • Turn your mattress regularly. (DON’T TRY THIS ALONE!) Unless you have bought a mattress specifically designed not to be turned, it is important that you turn your mattress at least once a week for the first couple of months, and then monthly thereafter. This will prolong the life-span of your mattress and minimise impression marks. When turning your mattress please do not allow it to bang or fall against the side of the base, as this can cause permanent damage to the spring unit. • Do not use detergents or chemical cleaners. Using detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress is likely to damage the fabric and stitching • Protect your mattress. We recommend you use a mattress cover that will protect your new mattress from stains and spills. This will not only help to keep your new mattress in perfect condition, but will also protect your guarantee – which can be invalidated by heavy staining/soiling. A new mattress cover will also absorb your body moisture, which will prolong the life of your new bed or mattress. The fact is that we lose over a pint and a half of body moisture and dead skin every night while sleeping, most of it directly into our beds. Unfortunately most mattresses absorb this moisture, which plays a significant part in the break down and deterioration of internal fillings and springs. Mattress covers also help reduce the accumulation of shed skin cells in the mattress and therefore also of house dust mites and their waste which is harmful to those with allergies. Purchase a Mattress cover today. • Getting used to your new bed. Occasionally your first nights sleep on a new bed may seem a little strange. You need to allow time for your body to adjust and nestle into your new bed. The length of time this takes depends on your sensitivity and speed to which your body adjusts to change, it can be within nights or maybe a little longer. But rest assured once you have adjusted you will experience many good years of comfortable sleep. • Impression marks are perfectly normal. Modern day mattress fillings are more sumptuous than ever before, impression marks may be initially pronounced in the predominant sleeping areas. Impression marks are normal and providing the mattress is properly supported on a suitable base, are minimised with regular turning.
